ST4ALL event

On September 16, 2020, in the garden of the Imperial Hotel, in compliance with all anti-epidemic measures, the Final Event for dissemination of the results of the Sports for All project was held. Over 130 participants-including teachers, school principals, sports coaches, university professors, students, athletes, including Olympic champions, experts in the field of education and inclusive policies, got acquainted in detail with the project Sport for All and its intellectual results.

The official opening was made by Prof. Nevena Mileva, Vice-Rector for Projects, Research and Applications at the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski” and world champion Yordan Yovchev. Welcoming remarks to the guests were also given by the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Plovdiv “Paisii Hilendarski” Prof. Dr. Vladimira Angelova and Prof. D.Sc. Dora Levterova from the same faculty.

Due to the inability of the partners from abroad to be physically present, videos were broadcast through which they present their organizations and greet the audience.

In addition to the detailed presentations of all the intellectual results of the project, the teacher from Sofia University “Paisii Hilendarski” Zlatomira Teneva told how she applied what she learned with the students in her class. Specially invited for the event, top professionals showed and shared their experience in working with children with SEN. Among them were Svetoslav Zahariev – martial arts coach, Tina Dimitrova – basketball coach, Dr. Georgi Kalaydzhiev – psychologist and sports coach, Vanya Vasileva – fitness coach, kinesitherapy and rehabilitation specialist with HUBER, Svetoslav Valchev – longtime coach and international judge of Taekwondo. The group of specialists was supplemented by Stoyanka Gruycheva and Siya Kelbecheva.

All participants received a conference package with branded materials, a certificate and a booklet with the Training Program “Sports for All”.

All presentations and photos can also be seen on the project website. At the end of the event, the participants continued their contacts in an informal atmosphere and it was then that many ideas for future collaborations and future use of project materials were born. A curious detail was that 30 minutes after the end of the event, the hotel space was taken over by the football team of Tottenham, but before that it was owned by the project “Sports for All”.
